Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Watch Break Cover

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus didn't give us many surprises though the  Watch did impress us with the incredible amount of functionality it provides.

After months of leaks, we finally witnessed an iPhone with a larger display. To be honest, we were graced with two huge iPhones, one with a 4.7 inch display and the other foraying in the phablet market with a 5.5-inch display.

iPhone 6
The 4.7-inch display version named iPhone 6, comes protected by "Ion-strengthened glass", curved around the edges for a more better experience when swiping.

The chassis is made of anodized aluminum with a stainless steel Apple logo and the design somewhat reminds you of HTC One(M8). The front doesn't distinguish itself from its previous iteration but the company has slimmed down their phone to just 6.9mm.

The camera department might be the only thing which didn't suffer any changes as an 8MP snapper once again makes way to the current iPhone. The camera has been improved though coming with 1.5ยต pixels, featuring phase detection autofocus and sits behind an f/2.2 aperture utilizing digital stabilization. The video resolution is kept at 1080p but the 60fps has now been promoted to the max FullHD resolution. Slo-Mo video is also found on the current crop of iPhones.

The internals have been upgraded to Apple's second-generation chipset, the Apple A8. It offers 25% more CPU power and 50% extra GPU oomph. The chipset is built on a power-efficient 20nm process, which also makes it 13% smaller physically than its A7 predecessor.

Battery has been a huge problem with iPhones and expect this one to be no different giving almost the same battery life as iPhone 5S. Other connectivity upgrades include Wi-Fi 802.11ac for three times faster Wi-Fi speeds. Finally, there's also NFC now, which enables Apple's new Apple Pay service for wireless payments.

The Apple iPhone 6 will come in 3 variants: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. There won't be a 32GB version this time. The prices for all the variants also get a whopping increase: €700 (£539 in UK) for 16GB, €800 (£619) for 64GB and €900 (£700) for the 128GB version.

iPhone 6 Plus
The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a much larger display at 5.5-inches IPS LCD display with a Retina HD resolution(i.e., 1080p).
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
The iPhone 6 Plus is a more premium offering than its smaller sibling featuring a 1080p resolution, superior battery life and optical image stabilization.

iOS 8 takes full advantage of the larger display offering split-screen mode in several apps like the earlier leaks suggested.

The rest of the internals are similar to the iPhone 6. The price of the iPhone 6 is where you will see a major change as it sets you back at €800 (£619 in UK) for the base 16GB version, €900 (£700) will get you the 64GB version, and the 128GB version costing a whopping €1000 (£790).

Both iPhones will be available in Gold, Silver or Space Gray colours with pre-orders starting on September 12, and shipping on the 19th.

Apple Watch
Now let's get started with the 'One More Thing' which was unveiled at the press conference. The Apple Watch is not much different than the other square-faced Android smartwatches but it does have a touch of elegance to it.
And One More Thing-The WATCH
The smartwatch doesn't come with an always on display but will turn on when the user lifts his wrists. This seems to be a pretty useful feature as the other smartwatches require a press of button for it.

The touch-screen is force-sensitive and you can add custom gestures and if that's not it, the
digital crown will help you interact with the watch, including zooming in on the maps application.

Just like Google Now, Siri will be the core function in the Apple Watch. You won't be able to type in answers, but the voice assistant will recognize questions from incoming messages and offer appropriate responses or use Siri for voice dictation.

The Watch comes with a heart rate monitor like the other smartwatches but does the feel the need of an iPhone for GPS positioning.

Similar to Android Wear, notifications from your iOS device will just show up on the watch. The most important feature that Apple states is that it will work with Apple Pay.

The Apple Watch comes in 38mm and 42mm cases. There will be an 18 karat gold version but more affordable stainless steel and aluminum versions will be available too. The steel version will be called Watch Sport, the gold one will be Watch Edition. The watch features changeable wristbands, ceramic backs and sapphire screens. Six different bands will be available at launch.

The price of the smartwatch comes at a steep $350 and will work with iOS devices following the iPhone 4S.
