BMW Senior Designer At The Helm Of Hero Motocorp

BMW Senior Designer At The Helm Of Hero Motocorp
Hero Motocorp had a split from Honda a few years back but the after effects were there to stay as Hero could not repeat the success of its new automotives released thereafter. But all that might change.

Hero has appointed Markus Braunsperger, BMW's senior designer as head of its research and development division coming up at Kukas near Jaipur. Braunsperger, 51, with a successful career spanning 25 years at BMW has designed the company’s flagship sedans 5/6/7 series as well as SUVs X3, X5 and X7. Being incharge of R&D at BMW’s two-wheeler division Motorrad might help him when he takes office at Hero in October. He might not be the only expat to jpin Hero's office this year as the company is determined ilto design products not only for domestic but for global markets too. Last August Hero had announced plans to enter 50 markets by the end of this decade with a target of 20 manufacturing units across the globe and an overall annual turnover of Rs. 60,000 crore
